Comment by Lartoon To anyone who cares to weigh-in. My questions are: 1. Do we take into account the little imp that spawns and does about 1k dps for BoD when determining the math? What exactly does it mean by " I assume in raids the locks will have to decide who uses which Bane from start to finish. This can become heck since Banes depend on encounter. Also the Bane can factor in on a warlock's dps.
As in 2 above, if you have 3 bosses let's say like in Gruuls Lair, can we only have 1 Bane in that entire encounter active? Sheesh Blizz help a girl out. I have found BoA to be less useful since BoD does dmg after 15 secs. And with the cata expac, even trash mobs take at least 15secs in raids so therefore BoH would be most useful on trash and BoD on bosses. Just curious if its just me or Anyone else running out of bar space for all of these new spells? Comment by texdel Is this spell worth the talent point to get it?
Is it primarily a PVP talent where I could see some usability not going to give up affliction for destruction over it though? I have been trying to think of when it really could be useful in PVE but it seems at best very situational and not worth the opportunity cost of the talent point.
Comment by morticianoire Can I ask then has the bug on BoH been sorted? Comment by Destinies Cast this on Beth'tilac right off the pull. Comment by This is really great to have if you are in a boss fight with multiple adds: BoH on the boss and nuke adds. Or if you are in some "council" encounter: BoD on main target, BoH on the one you're going to nuke next, BoA on other ones if needed.
Comment by Superchief Just to clarify for those questioning the value of this talent point, this is a "wait until level 85" talent. While leveling you are better off getting an extra tick of AoE Rain of Fire than wasting a global cooldown on this if the mobs are not going to live for most of it's duration. Even boss fights in dungeons last only seconds while leveling. Comment by Anyone verified how long this works on player targets? Althought it can be cloaked off, it would really piss of a rogue if you do some damage every 10 or so seconds and prevent them from restealthing all the way across the map.
I was getting all sorts of twisted trying to tab-through my targets when Havoc would come off CD midfight, and click-selecting an enemy just takes too long for my taste. Comment by Corq Does any one know if there is any add-ons that will display the frames of enemy players within a certain range? I know you can get one that displays enemy frames of all enemies, but have no "only display within range x amount of yards".
This would be very helpul in pvp as I could use a mouse over cast macro for this without having to follow the player around with my mouse, or having to read the enemies name before clicking on the frame if when using the other add-on.
Comment by Havoc went through alot of changes in MoP. At the start you could triple cast Chaos bolt, which was changed to being able to cast 1 chaos bolt that eats all 3 stacks. You cast Havoc on the latter one and cast Shadowburn on the former one. The result is Shadowburn being casted on both targets at the same time. Now, what is the use of knowing this? I do wonder as well if this works with Gara'jal and his spirits.

Leveling Consumables. Leveling Mounts. Level 15 : Felblade — This is an amazing talent that acts as a Fury generator on top of an additional gap closer to help you reach those pesky ranged classes. Level 25 : Demon Blades — This acts as an additional passive Fury generation on top of giving you extra shadow damage during some attacks.
If Felblade is taken as the level 15 talent, Demon Blades should be auto-picked as the level 25 talent due to their huge synergy together. Level Soul Rending — This row is the most flexible one with all three talents viable in various scenarios. It gives you Leech to sustain yourself, which is increased during Metamorphosis, making you unkillable.
Level 40 : First Blood — This talent reduces the resource cost for Blade Dance and allows you to do additional damage to the first target struck by it. On a short cooldown, this ability is rewarding to use and can help you interrupt important CDs from your opponents. Versatility is your core stat since it increases your damage, while also making you harder to kill. While the damage increase might not be as high as the others, the additional survivability it grants you is crucial to negate your weakness.
Haste is the best secondary stat after Versatility, giving you faster attacks and globals to increase your damage throughput. Mastery and Critical Strike are lower in priority, but if you have higher item level gear with these stats, feel free to use them instead.
As for the Legendary item, you want to go for Darkest Hour to increase your survivability by auto-triggering Darkness if you fall below percent health. Its mobility spell is great and helps with some of your weaknesses, but the strongest part of the covenant is the ability called The Hunt.
